She is an English actress who started her career as a child, appearing in the television series Simon and the Witch in 1987. She performed the character of Selena in the zombie film 28 Days Later (2002), the witch Tia Dalma in the second and third Pirates of the Caribbean films, and Winnie Mandela’s British-South African biographical film in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013). She has also performed Eve Moneypenny in the James Bond films Skyfall (2012), spy film and the twenty-fourth in the James Bond series Spectre (2015) and No Time to Die (2021).

Early Life
She was born on 6th September 1976 in Islington, a district in Greater London, England, and part of the London Borough of Islington. Her father Brian Clarke, a fashion designer, emigrated from Trinidad to the UK & mother Carmen Harris, emigrated from Jamaica to London as a child with her parents.
She studied at St Marylebone School in London & becomes graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge, in 1998 with social and political sciences. She has also trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
Career
In 2000, she played the character of Susan in The Witch of Edmonton at the Southwark Playhouse. She was also in the cast of She Stoops to Conquer (Radio 3), Studio 3, Pebble Mill, May 2000. In November 2002, she performed in Danny Boyle’s post-apocalyptic film 28 Days Later. In the same year, she played the role in the television adaptation of English novelist, essayist, and short-story writer Zadie Smith’s White Teeth.
She has appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, and Michael Mann’s Miami Vice. She did a comic role in Michael Winterbottom’s indie ensemble piece, A Cock and Bull Story (2005). She also played in Channel 4’s adaptation of the 2006 novel Poppy Shakespeare, which was first shown on 31st March 2008.
She will next perform in an upcoming American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Venom in the sequel “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”.
