Early Life

He was born on 25th October 1993 in San Diego, a city in the U.S.State of California. His father has been his only coach throughout his golfing career.

He was the individual winner of the 2011 California State High School Championship playing for the Scripps Ranch High School. After graduating from high school he plays his freshman year in college at California State University. He then transferred to San Diego State University where he would play out his college career and graduate in 2015. 

He defeated American golfer Beau Hossler to win 2014 The California Amateur Championship. He becomes a professional golfer in June 2015 when he entered the 2015  qualifying tour.

He made his PGA Tour debut at The Desert Classic. In his first round at the 2017 U.S.Open organised at the Erin Hills.

In July 2017 he recorded his first PGA Tour victory at The Greenbrier Classic. He started the final round three shots behind Colombian golfer Sebastian Munoz.

In 2017 The BMW Championship he needs to move up at least two spots to advance to 2017 The Tour Championship. He played the final six holes of the tournament in 6-under-par and rose to 26th.

In 2017 The Tour Championship he birdied the 72nd hole to win by one stroke over American golfer Justin  Thomas & becomes the first rookie ever to win the Tour Championship. The win moves him to third place in the final FedEx Cup standings & 32nd in The Official World Golf Ranking. Currently, his world ranking is 4.

Next year in 2018 he joined equipment manufacturers Callaway Golf Company. He tied for the second with a score of six-under-par at The 2018 Open Championship.

After that, he began his 2018 FedEx Cup Playoffs in 28th position in the standings. Entering the third of four events in the playoff series The BMW Championship.

He then joined The 2018 European Tour as an associate member. Then he entered the European Tour final event & holds the ranks 5th position. He finished the season with  4th position on the Order of Merit and participation in the 2018 European Tour’s bonus pool.

In January 2019 he won The Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua Resort. His final round 62 tied the course record at The Plantation Course.

Next year in the month of April he tied for the second in The 2019 Masters Tournament one stroke behind American golfer Tiger Woods. After opening with a 1-over 73, recorded rounds of 65-70-68 to finish T2 at the Master’s Tournament with American golfer Dustin  Johnson. He finished at the Master’s Tournament represented his third top-five in eight starts at major championships.

In the 2019 Wyndham Rewards entering in the Playoffs in 4th position in the FedEx Cup ranking. He holds the 8th position after the first two of a total of three playoff events and for the playing of 2019, The Tour Championship with a 6 shot for the number one ranked American golfer Justin  Thomas.

Personal Life

He married to Maya Lowe who is graduated from the University of California in 2017. She is currently studying for Masters in Health Care Management at the University of Maryland.
