He is an American rapper singer-songwriter and record producer. Polo G becomes a known personality in the music industry in 2018 when his single release “Finer Things” & “Pop Out”.Next year in 2019 he released his debut album “Die a Legend”. This song ranked number six on the US Billboard 200 along with it also certified Platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).

Early Life

He was born on 6th January 1999 in Old Town. It is a neighbourhood district in the Northside of the Chicago, Illinois mid-western region in the United States. He has an older sister and a younger sister and a younger brother in his family. 

Career

He recorded his first song “ODA” in 2018 which was released on YouTube after he created the Swedish online audio distribution platform “SoundCloud”. His song “Pop Out” which released on 1st February 2019 which ranks 11th number on the Billboard hot 100. Video music of the song receives over 200 million views on YouTube and after that, he started singing for Columbia records. 

On 14th  February 2020, he released his song “Go Stupid” with American rapper and songwriter Stunna 4 Vegas & American rapper NLE Choppa. It ranks at number sixty on Hot 100 and also becomes his second song on the Hot 100.

His next studio album “The Goat” released on 15th May 2020 by  American record label company “Columbia records”.It ranks number two on the Billboard 200. In July he was also featured on American rapper Juice Wrld’s third studio album “Legends Never Die”.It ranks number ten on the Billboard hot hundred. 

He was included in “Freshman Class” of  American Hip Hop magazine XXL. In September month he released his single “Epidemic”, Billboard hot 100  given this song 47th rank.

He listed his name in Forbes “30 Under 30”  under the music category in 2021. On 5th February 2021, he released his song “GNF (OKOKOK)” & on 12th February he was featured on the Soundtrack of the movie “Judas and the Black Messiah”.The movie was an American biographical drama directed by American screenwriter and director Shaka King. He also collaborated with Lil Tjay and American rapper Fivio Foreign on the song “Headshot” which was released on 19th Mach 2021.

He along with social media personality Einer Bankz release a snippet on Instagram of an upcoming single of him. The video becomes viral very quickly and receives millions of views on social media platforms. Later on, the song was titled “Rapstar”  and released on 9th April 2021. It ranks number one on the Billboard hot 100.

On 17th May 2021, he announced that he has finished recording his third Studio album “Hall Of Fame” and would be releasing his fourth and final single “Gang Gang” with American rapper Lil Wayne on 21st May 2021. American rapper Moneybagg yo released his fourth studio album “A Gangsta’s Pain” which was released on 23rd April 2021. The featuring artist of the album includes him, American singer-songwriter Kaash Paige, BIG30, Future, and another high profile singer of his team. It becomes his first number one album debuted with 110,000 units on the  Billboard 200.

He was originally known for his Chicago drill sound. It’s a style of trap music that belongs to the south side of Chicago. He also has been very much popular for his lyrics especially involved the insensitive side of human life such as racism and mental health. He has also told in many online interviews that American rapper Lil Wayne & hip-hop star Tupac Shakur is his inspiration for his music career.
