Who is Lil Nas X?

 He is an American rapper singer and songwriter. Started receiving rapid attention on the internet along with global recognition since 2019 when his single Country rap “Old Town Road” release and becomes diamond certified the same year by November. Becoming the longest-running number-one song since the chart started in 1958 by spending nineteen weeks on top on the Billboard hot hundred chart. 

Later on, many remixes were released of this song. The most Popular remix song which was featured country singer American singer-songwriter, Billy Ray Cyrus. After this success, he releases his debut Extended play “7 “. Later on, it released two singles ⁠”Panini” which ranks at number five & “Rodeo” which at number  22 on the Hot 100.

He is also the most nominated male artist at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards where he won awards for the Best music video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. American news magazine Times magazine listed his name as 25 most influential people on the internet in 2019. American Business Magazine Forbes put his name 30 Under 30 category of 2020.

Early Life

He was born on 9th April 1999  in Lithia Springs which is located, northeastern Douglas County, Georgia, United States. His mother Tamikia Hill and his father Charles Jones III is an American guitarist, and singer.

He studied at Lithia Springs High School Lithia Springs, Georgia and became graduate in 2017. After that, he attended the University of West Georgia for one year and then left out for pursuing his singing career. 

Career

In 2017 he also created and ran fan accounts on Twitter of  Trinidadian-born rapper Nicki Minaj which also became very popular on Twitter. later on, in 2018 he chooses music for its success and started writing and recording songs.

On 3rd December 2018, he releases his song “Old Town Road“. As of July 2019, it receives over 67 million views on the internet. It also ranks at number eighty-three on the Billboard hot 100 charts, later goes up to number one. He then signed with an American record level company owned by Sony Entertainment named Columbia records in 2019. 

In April 2019 he broke Canadian rapper and singer Drake’s record for the most U.S. streams in one week with 143 million streams for the week which ended on 11th April  2019. Within August 2019 it streamed over 1 billion plays on Swedish audio streaming and service provider Spotify. He also became the first micro-platform crossover star.

He released his debut extended play on 21st June 2019 titled 7 which ranks at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. On 30th June 2019, he made his International debut at the Glastonbury Festival when he and Billy Ray Cyrus made a surprise appearance and joined, Miley Cyrus for the song.

In  July 2019  he receives eight nominations MTV Video Music Awards. He was also nominated for “Male Artist of 2019” at the 45th People’s Choice Awards. The same year in November he won the American Music Awards for Favorite Song – Rap/Hip Hop & for six Grammy Award including Record of the Year.
