He is an American actor who played the fictional character in the television series Burn Notice started in 2007. Early Life

He was born in Amesbury which is an Essex County in the northeastern part of the U.S.States of Massachusetts. He studied at the co-educational private school  Amesbury High School. During his school study, he was mentored by teacher Patricia Hoyt who helped him to start a drama club which makes the way for him to pursue his acting career. After that, he took admission to a public university Bridgewater State University before moving to The University of Massachusetts Amherst. He becomes graduates with a Bachelor of  Arts in drama. After becomes a graduate he took his admission for his  Master of Fine Arts to New York University’s graduate acting programme at the Tisch School of the Arts.

The Career of Jeffrey Donovan

As a first lead hero, he got his opportunity in the American remake of the British crime drama television series Touching Evil on the USA Network. After this successful performance, his next series was Burn Notice where he performs the character of Michael  Westen.

He also made his directorial debut with the series’ episode, “Made Man” which first aired on 17th  June 2010. Apart from the television he also directed the American television movie Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe in 2011. The series continues for the seven-season & was nominated for the four Primetime Emmy Award. The series lasted for seven seasons, received positive reviews from both fans and critics, and was nominated for four  Primetime Emmy Award.

He has also performed on stage in various productions including the tragic drama  Hamlet, Prince of Denmark. 

From October 2008 until spring 2009, he starred in the farce adaptation of a two-act play titled drama The Glory of Living.

His upcoming movie is Wrath of Man. Which is going to be released on 7th May 2021 in the United States. In this movie, the English action Jason Statham is going to perform the character of Harry “H”. American writer & producer Holt McCallany has performed the character Bullet.

Personal Life

He has approximately 20 years of martial arts experience & he has earned his black belt in Shotokan. It is a style of karate developed from various martial arts by the founder of Shotokan karate named Gichin Funakoshi. 

He married Michelle Woods on 25th August  2012. They had a daughter, Claire, in December of that year. 

In 2014 Donovan and his wife welcomed their second child, a son named Lucas. They got their child in the year 2017.

In 2009 he returned to Amesbury High School where he took part in a career day mentorship program with other successful professionals and presented the school with a $ 100,000 (Rs 74.45 Lacs) arts scholarship program. The first $10,000 award was given out to a senior that June.

On 4th October  2009, he served as one of the chairmen for the 6th Annual LRO annual fundraiser called Night by the Ocean at the Kodak Theater. He was named Grand Marshal of the 22nd annual AIDS Walk Miami held on April 17, 2010.
