At 10 years old, Vijay’s first role was in the drama (1984), he performed as a child actor in films. Until Ithu Engal Neethi (1988), directed by his father SA Chandrasekhar, and Naalaiya Theerpu(1992). In 2002, he acted in the commercially successful action film Thamizhan as a lawyer alongside Hindi actress Priyanka Chopra.
