Early Life

She was born on 28th July 1998 in Bradenton which is a city on the Manatee River in  Florida City United States. Her sister Jessica Korda is also an American Professional golfer who plays on the LPGA tour who’s current Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) world ranking on number two.

 She got the right platform to become a professional from her family background especially because of her parents. Both her parents, father  Petr Korda & mother  Regina Rajchrtova are retired, professional tennis players. So both her sisters got the inspiration to become professional golfers as their career.

She also made the cut at the 2013  U.S. Women’s Open. This wonderful achievement happened just one month before her 15th birthday.

She began her professional career in 2016 on The Symetra Tour, previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour. She won her first event at The Sioux Falls Great Life Challenge 

In October 2018 she won The LPGA Taiwan Championship in Taiwan for her first in  The Ladies Professional Golf Association. This winning achievement made her & her sister Jessica  Korda the third pair of sisters to win in LPGA history.

At The CME Group Tour Championship, she settled for runner-up and solo 3rd at The Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions.

Next year in February she won The Women’s Australian Open. Her sister Jessica Korda won the Women’s Australian Open in 2012 and her younger brother, Sebastian, won the 2018 Australian Open junior boys in tennis. In 2018 American Professional golfer Lexi Thompson won the CME Group Tour Championship with an 18-under total giving  Lexi a four-shot victory over her. Lexi won the amount of $ 500,000 (Rs 3.72 Cr).

Winning the same tournament made her  4th top-5 finish in her most recent 5 LPGA starts. She also broke into the top 10 for the first time in the February 18, 2019 release of  The women’s world Golf Ranking She becomes the second-highest American in the World.

In September 2019 she shot a 4-under-par 67 in blustery conditions and won the Open de France Dames by eight shots. 

The same year in November she defended her title at The LPGA Taiwan Championship in a playoff over German golfer Caroline Masson & Australian golfer Minjee Lee.

On 28 February 2021 she won The Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio, a women’s golf tournament in Florida on The Ladies Professional Golf Association tour.

Overnight leader by three strokes, She gave up a share of the lead to Japan’s fast-finishing Inami on the 17th but the home favourite bogeyed eighteen.

She continued her roller-coaster season after winning her first major, the Women’s PGA Championship in June, as well as two other tournaments, and then the world number one ranking. Now she can add an Olympic gold medal to her collection of this year.
