Early life
He was born on 16th February 1991 in Bangalore, the Capital state of Karnataka of India. His father Anurag Agrawal is the CEO of a healthcare company named Natural Remedies. His mother Suchitra Agrawal is a housewife. He has a brother named Raj Kishan who is also a former state Level cricketer.
He has completed his school education from the Bishop Cotton Boys School which is in Bangalore. Later on, he has also completed his graduation from Jain University from the same city.
Career
He has come in the selector’s eyes in the year 2008-09 from the 2010 ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup. In this tournament, he was the highest run-scorer for India. He scored his first triple century in domestic cricket in November 2017. He made 304 not out batted for Karnataka against Maharashtra in Ranji Trophy in the year 2017-18. Along with this he also made 1,000 runs in the same month in the first-class cricket.
The next year 2018 in the month of January he was bought by the Kings Xi Punjab in the 2018 IPL Auction. Including all formats, he scored 2141 runs, the highest total by any batsman in an Indian domestic session. He was awarded the Madhavrao Scindia Award for the highest runs scorer in Ranji Trophy. He made his test debut against Australia in December 2018 & scored seven-six runs in his first innings, the highest score by any Indian Batsman on a Test debut in Australia. He was added in the Indian Team for the 2019 Cricket World Cup replacing Vijay Shankar who was ruled out due to injury.
In the first test match against South Africa, he scored his first century in Test Cricket. In December 2019 he also selected for the One Day International against West Indies. But he made his one day debut in the next year 2020 in February against New Zealand. Apart from this, he was also selected for the Twenty20, One Day & Test matches for the Australian Tour same year in the year-end.
Personal life
He married Aashita, daughter of Indian police service Officer Praveen Sood. They got engaged on the 6th June 2018.
