Early Life

She was born on 28th January 1976  in a Tamil family. Her father N Ganesan was a writer and a Banker. and her mother Savithri Was Was and vocalist along with a dancer. She also has a   dancer sister named Ranjani Ganesan Ramesh. At a very young age, only five years of age she trained herself in Classical dance from Bharatanatyam under Padma Shri Leela Samson. Apart from dancing, she has also completed her LLB degree at Bangalore University.

Career

She started her movie career as a child actress. Her performance in Mayamruga, a  Kannada language Tele serial appreciated by K Balachander.  K Balachander was an Indian filmmaker and playwright who mainly worked in the   Tamil film industry. He offered her a Tamil language soap Opera named Anni. 

Another achievement comes into her life when she becomes the housemate in Bigg Boss Kannada season 4. She Has also given her performance in K.G.F Chapter-1.Kannada movie.One of the highest-grossing Kannada movies of all time. Apart from the Kannada movie she has also done the Tamil movie Kaithi. The movie is written & directed by  Lokesh Kanagaraj. 

She joined  Bharatiya Janata Party in September 2013 by a Politics campaign organised by external affairs minister Late  Sushma Swaraj. Next year in 2014 Appointed as a Co- spokesperson of the party.

She Married Avinash Yelandur who was also an actor. She married him in the year 2001. They have a beautiful son named Gaalav Yelandur.
