Early Life
Leo was born on 11th November 1974, in Los Angeles, California. He is the only child of Irmelin (nƩe Indenbirken), a legal secretary, and his father George DiCaprio, an underground comix writer, publisher, and distributor of comic books.
His parents met while attending college and moved to Los Angeles after he graduated. DiCaprio was raised in Catholic families.
He studied at Seeds Elementary School and later on shifted to John Marshall High School after attending the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies for four years.

He got his start in Hollywood in a smattering of commercials and television roles as a child. A breakthrough happened when the fourteen-year-old Leo landed a Mattel commercial for the company’s Matchbox cars.
