She is an American actress and model. For the first time, Jordana Brewster comes to the public eyes from the character she performs as Mia Toretto in the American action movie The Fast and the Furious in 2001. This action movie was directed by the American director Rob Cohen.

Early Life

She was born on 26th April 1980 in Panama City. The capital & the largest city of Panama. The older of two sisters her father  Alden Brewster is an American investment banker. Her mother Maria Joao Brewster is a former swimsuit model from Brazil. She studied at the Convent of the Sacred Heart and graduated from the Professional Children’s School from Yale University in 2003  with a B. A. in English.

Career

She started her career in the daytime soap opera & appeared in 104 episodes in total from 1995 to 2001. She got her first movie role in the horror science fiction movie The Faculty directed by the American moviemaker Robert  Rodriguez in 1998. 

But as an established actress she got her role of Mia Toretto in the movie The Fast and the Furious in 2001. Performing along with American actor Paul Walker, Vin Diesel & Michelle Rodriguez the production cost of the movie was $ 38 million (Rs 2.78.67 Cr). The movie was a blockbuster worldwide & the box office collection was $ 207.3 million (Rs 15,20.33 Cr) worldwide.

In 2005 her next release was the war romance film “Annapolis,” in which she played James Franco’s love interest. Her next release of 2006 was the horror film prequel “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning” was more successful. The worldwide box office collection of the movie was $ 51.8 million (Rs 3,79.87 Cr). From the year 2000 to 2010 she appeared in television movies.

She returned to her role of Mia Toretto in Fast & Furious in 2009 the fourth movie of the franchise. The movie also was a blockbuster worldwide with a collection of $ 363 million (Rs 26,62.20 Cr).

In 2013 next part of the franchise movie Fast & Furious 6 she played the same role for the fourth time. She performs with the Israeli actress Gal Gadot in the movie it becomes the successful commercially of the series. With an approximate production cost of $ 260 million (Rs 19,06.91 Cr), the movie collects $ 788.7 million (Rs 57,84.14 Cr) globally at the box office.

In 2002 British consumer electronics magazine Stuff named her the 96th hottest woman in their “102 Sexiest Women in the World”.International Men’s Magazine Maxim in 2005 named her the 54th sexiest woman in the world in their annual Hot 100. But in 2009 she ranks 9th in the same magazine.

Her upcoming movie F9 is to be released on 25th June 2021. In this movie, she performs along with American actor & movie maker Vin Diesel, The Fast and Furious fame American actress  Michelle Rodriguez has performed the character of Letty Ortiz. Tyrese Gibson also performs in the movie. Apart from this American singer-actor Ludacris also has performed in the movie. American Bodybuilder John Cena has also performed the character of Jakob Toretto in the movie. One of the most beautiful & talented actresses of England Nathalie Emmanuel also performs the character of Ramsey in the movie.

Personal Life

She met with American film producer Andrew Form in the set of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning in 2006. They announced their engagement on 4th November 2006. They married in The Bahamas on 6th May 2007. They have two sons Julian &  Rowan.
