Who is Jessica Korda?

She is an American Professional golfer who plays on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tour. Her sister Nelly Korda is also an American Professional golfer who plays on the LPGA tour. She represented the Czech Republic in the World Amateur Team Championship Espirito Santo Trophy in 2006. About form the Czech Republic she has also represented the United States in 2010 which was tied for fourth. Her current  Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) world ranking on number two with total eagles six after the American Professional golfer Lexi Thompson who has topped the chart with the total eagles of seven as of June 2021.

Early Life

She was born on 27th February 1993 in Bradenton, City and a county seat of Manatee County, Florida in United State. Her father Petr Korda is a  former professional tennis player who represented the Czech Republic and her mother Regina Rajchrtova, is a former tennis player who belongs from Czechoslovakia who has competed for her native country in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.

She has a Younger brother named Sebastian Korda who is an American tennis player who has a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ranking of number fifty achieved on 31st May 2021.

Her sister Nelly Korda is also an American Professional golfer who plays on the LPGA tour who has cut at the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open.

Career

She was a member of the  2009 US Junior Solheim Cup, a form of the golf tournament for the teenage girl between twelve to eighteen which was started in 2002. She was also a member of the Curtis Cup in 2009, which is the best-known team Trophy for women amateur golfers awarded in the biennial Curtis Cup Match.

She has owned the 2010 South Atlantic Amateur and cut the 2008 and 2009 in the U.S. Women’s Open. She finished runner up at the  2010 U.S. Women’s Amateur. She entered the LPGA Tour qualifying school in 2010 as a seventeen-year-old girl. She finished runner up in the final Qualifying tournament which makes her eligible for full membership on the tour in 2011. 

At the age of eighteen years old during the second event of the 2011 season, she played in fifteen events in her rookie year. Her best finished was a tie for 19th at the Airbus LPGA Classic, a women professional Golf tournament on the LPGA tout played in Mobile County, Alabama, United State from 2008 to 2014. Her first professional win was the Women’s Australian Open in 2012 which was organised in Royal Melbourne Golf Club Located in Blackrock Victoria a suburb of Southeast of Melbourne Australia. Her win comes at the second hole of a six-person playoff after the rounds of 72-70-73-74.

Her second victory comes in January 2014 in the second LPGA Tour title at the season-opening of Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic. The tournament is a professional women’s golf tournament in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas located in the West Indies of the Atlantic. It debated in May 2013 at the Ocean Golf Club on Paradise Island. It is connected with Nassau, the capital and the largest city of the Bahamas. 

According to Wikipedia her professional and personal life going through a little bit of Criticism due she fired caddy Jason Gilroyed for several disagreements after the shooting 5-over-par for the first nine holes.
