She is an American singer and songwriter who is often compared to singer and songwriter Lady Gaga for her music presentation, her platinum blonde hair &  persona. She signed American record label company “Atlantic Records” in 2016 where she released her song “Sweet but Psycho” in that same year. Early Life

She was born on 16th February 1994 in an Albanian family in Milwaukee, the largest city in the state of Wisconsin & the fifth largest city in the mid-western United States. Her father Paul was a pianist & mother  Andrea was a classically trained Opera singer. She has an older brother. She travelled very often to Florida to perform in singing competitions. She studied at Lexington High School, South Carolina. 

Career

She met with Canadian record producer Cirkut with whom she sang the song “Happy Birthday”. After that, they upload the song  “Anyone but You” on the Swedish Online video distribution platform “SoundCloud” in 2016. The song attracted the attention of various record labels & gradually led her to sign a record deal with Atlantic records in 2016. 

She releases the song  “My Way” on 20th April 2018 which reached number thirty-eight on the “Romanian Airplay” 100. On 8th  June 2018, she featured on the song “Into Your Arms” by American rapper Witt Lowry. Her song “Sweet but Psycho” was released on 17th August 2018  under the Atlantic records as the first single from her debut studio album “Heaven & Hell” which was released on 18th September 2020. The song reached number one in twenty-two Countries. The song also was her first top ten single in the United States which reached number ten on the Billboard hot 100. The song was the highest-selling year-end song of 2019 in Slovenia and has attained platinum certifications in fifteen countries.

She was also featured on the “Make Up” a song by American DJ  Vice & the Singer-songwriter Jason Derulo. The song was released as a single on 23rd October 2018 under the Atlantic records. On 7th August 2019, she was featured on the song “Slow Dance” by American singer-songwriter “AJ” Mitchell. She also released the song “Torn” on 19th August 2019. She won the Best Push Act at the MTV Europe Music Award. After that she collaborated with  British-Norwegian disc jockey and record producer Alan Walker on the song “Alone, Pt. II”.

On 12th  March 2020, she released the song “Kings & Queens” as the fifth single from her then-unreleased debut studio album “Heaven & Hell “. The song topped the Billboard adult top 40 on 12th  December 2020. Heaven & Hell “ was released on 18th September 2020 along with the music video of the song “Naked”.The album reached number two on the UK Albums chart. It also reached number twenty-seven on the Billboard 200. 

In Music, she has made her image as a Pop and dance-pop singer. Her music has compared to the artists including Australian Singer-songwriter Sia, American Singer-songwriter Lady Gaga, Bebe Rexha, Norwegian Singer-songwriter Sigrid &  English Singer and songwriter Dua Lipa.
