She is an American Track and field athlete who specialized in the hammer throw. On 8th June 2018, her record mark of 77.78 m (255 ft 2 in) ranks on six of the all-time list. She has won gold in indoor championships for the record three times. She is also a gold medalist in the hammer at the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival.
Early Life
She was born on 29th June 1989 in St. Louis the second largest city in Missouri Of the United States. Her father’s name is Michael Berry & mother is Laura Hayes. She studied at McCluer High School in Missouri. She started studying for a degree in psychology and criminal justice at Southern Illinois University (SIU) in 2007. She also keeps continuing with her training in throwing events for The Southern Illinois Salukis.
Her International Award debuts come in the 2010 NACAC U23 Championships in Athletics. In the same event, she won the hammered bronze after Canadian track and field athlete Heather Steacy &Â American track and field athlete Jeneva Stevens.

Career
After graduation, she continued competing with a focus on weight throw in the indoor season and hammer throw in the outdoor season. At the 2011 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, she ranked in the sixth position. In the next season, she ranks in the third position at the 2012 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. After that, she entered in 2012 United States Olympic Trials for track and field because of the number two ranked American woman after Jessica Cosby. She ended in seventh with a mark of 68.84 m (225 ft 10 in). After this achievement, she was approached by The New York Athletic Club.
She won her first national title at the 2013 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. launching the weight throw 24.70 m to beat out a field including Amber Campbell and Jeneva McCall.The 2014 season marked her first foray into the international professional circuit. She becomes seventh at the 2014 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships although she was selected for the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival. In the same events, she won a gold medal in a season’s best of 72.04 m and beat three-time world champion Cuban hammer thrower Yipsi Moreno González.
After that, she competed in the 2015 IAAF Hammer Throw Challenge and becomes tenth in the rank. She cleared seventy metres for the first time nationally at the 2015 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships & she achieved fifth place overall. In 2016 her third career win comes at the 2016 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. She achieved rank number one globally for the season. In the 2016 US Trials she comes second in the hammer after the American hammer thrower Amber Campbell ahead of American track and field athlete DeAnna Marie Price at the 2016 United States Olympic Trials for track and field.
