Early Life
Erica was born to the family of Eric Ike Nlewedim in Umuahia Abia state in the Eastern Region, Nigeria. She grown up in Lagos Nigeria & graduated from Victory Grammar School. After that she proceeded to have a degree program with the Covenant University, where she graduated with Business Administration, and furthered her education at Met Film School in London.

Modeling
She started her career with a passion for modeling along with ran her company Beluxia Hair. Her first modeling endorsement was with Natures Gentle Touch a cosmetic brand that deals with hair product, before proceeding to contest for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MGBN) pageant representing Kogi state, she also earned the MBGN Miss Photogenic award.
Acting
In 2015 after graduating from Met Film School, she started her career as an actress playing the leading role in Secrets and Scandals. She played a major in a nollywood romantic comedy movie Hire a Woman (film) where her character name was Nifemi. The movie featured notable Nigerians actors and actresses such as Alexx Ekubo, Nancy Isime, Uzor Arukwe. She was also played a leading role in Made in Heaven series which featured top Nollywood stars such as Richard Mofe-Damijo, Toyin Abraham and Ayo Makun.

In 2020 Erica participated in 5th edition of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show. She was disqualified on September 6th, 2020.
