O’Neal was born on 14th May 1981 in Macomb, Illinois USA to her parents Londa Cunningham and Robert O’Neal. She has three siblings whose names are Brooke, Bryce and Tyler. Soon after her birth, the family moved from Tempe to Arizona. Where O’Neil along with her siblings has spent the rest of their childhood.

After she settled down in Tempe, her father joined her along with her brother Tyler in a junior golf school in the nearby city of Mesa.
O’Neal soon fell in love with the sport and practised daily at Dobson Ranch Golf Club. Her love grew into a passion, and her hard work led her the way to golf success. O’Neil was chosen to play for the American Junior Golf Association when she was only thirteen years old.
Among many other awards, she was selected to represent her country at the Junior Ryder Cup held in Valderrama, Spain. After her graduation, O’Neal got her professional license and went on to play in several Asian countries.
She gradually recovered completely and made a comeback after almost five years away from the golf course. She was offered participation in a reality television series entitled “Big Break: Prince Edward Island” which was aired on the Golf Channel in 2009.
Even though she only had less than a month of preparation, her talent showed once again, and she finished in second place. O’Neal’s achievement revived her golf career entirely, and once again she earned her status on the LPGA Symetra Tour and signed a sponsorship deal with Puma as well. She also continued to play golf full time until 2015, when she decided to slowly turn towards the media world, and become a television personality.
