Early Life
Krithi Shetty was born on 21st Sept 2003 in Mumbai, in a Tulu family hailing from Mangalore, Karnataka. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a fashion designer. She has two siblings, a brother and a sister. She was brought up in Mumbai and as of February 2021, she was studying psychology.
Since childhood, Krithi has worked in commercial ads like Idea, Fashion Unlimited, Clean & Clear, Dairy milk chocolate etc. She can speak her mother tongue Tulu, Hindi, English, Tamil and understand Kannada. She has learnt to speak Telugu and is learning Tamil for her film career.
Career
In 2019, Krithi Shetty started her acting career with a small role as a student in Bollywood in the ‘Super 30’. She made her debut in a lead role at age of 17, with the Telugu film Uppena directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writing. The film was commercially successful at the box office by collecting over Rs.100 crore ( $ 12.60 Million) Reviewing her performance, The Times of India’s Neeshita Nyayapati wrote:” The debutantes Vaishnav and Krithi manage to pull off the intricacies of their characters well for the most part.”
In 2021, She appeared in the Telugu film Shyam Singha Roy opposite Nani. As of 2022, she is shooting for the upcoming film Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppli directed by Mohana Krishna Inderaganti and co-starring Sudheer Babu. She also directed opposite Ram Pothineri in ‘The warrior’ directed by N.Lingusamy which is a bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu.
