 He is a South Korean singer-songwriter dancer & Jimin whose real name is Park Ji-min is a member of the South Korean boy band BTS since 2013 Under the Big Hit Entertainment. He was ranked as the 14th most popular according to American Analytics & Advisory Company Gallup. He is the eighth most-tweeted musician in the world.

Early Life

He was born on 13th October 1995 in Geumjeong  District of Busan, South Korea. He has a younger brother named Park Jihyun along with his parents in his family. He started his school education in Busan’s Hodong Elementary School which letter on he changed to Yonsan Middle School. During his studies in school, he also attended the Dance Academy and learned popping and locking dance. After that, he studied contemporary dance at Busan High School of Arts and was a top student in the modern dance department. 

He then gave his audition to Big Hit Entertainment. After he passed out in 2012  he took is admission to Korean Arts High School where he completed his graduation in 2014. He also completed his graduation from the Global Cyber University in August 2020, with a major in Broadcasting and Entertainment.

After graduation, he enrolled for Pursuing his study in master of Business Administration in Advertising and media from the Hanyang Cyber University in 2021.

Career

On 13th June 2013, he started his career as a BTS member with the release of the single “No More Dream”.BTS is a South Korean boy band and it has a seventh member including him. The other six members of the band are Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, V & Jungkook.

He is a vocalist and Dancer in BTS and has released three solo song as a BTS member “Serendipity” & Filter”. “Lie”.

“Lie” was released in 2016 the second studio album of the BTS named “Wings”. “Serendipity” was released in the fifth Extended play of BTS Love Yourself: Her in 2017. The third one Filter” was released in 2020 with the album Map of the Soul: 7.”Serendipity” and “Lie” both surpassed fifty million streams on Swedish audio streaming platform Spotify in 2018. He is the only Korean artist who has crossed 50 million streams three solo tracks.

In 2019 he becomes the first BTS member to have a solo music video achieve 100 million views on YouTube with “Serendipity”.”Lie” and “Serendipity” were the second and third most-streamed solos behind “Euphoria”. “Filter” is also the first and only solo BTS b-sidetrack to receive a Song of The Year nomination at the Music award show in South Korea  Gaon Chart Music Awards. He has received the fifth-class Hwagwan in The Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea in 2018 With his BTS team member.

In 2014 he along with his BTS team member has made a song of Justin Bieber’s Christmas song “Mistletoe”.The Korean lyrics of the song written by himself. They two again collaborated in 2017 for a cover of American singer Charles Otto Puth Jr “We Don’t Talk Anymore”.

On 30th December 2018, he released his first solo song outside the BTS  “Promise”, for free on BTS’ on Swedish audio distribution platform SoundCloud.Two years later on 24th December 2020, he released his second solo “Christmas Love”.

In 2019 donated $ 88,000 (Rs 63.70 Lacs) to the Busan Department of Education to help support lower-income students. Next year he donated the same amount of $ 88,000 (Rs 63.70 Lacs) to the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation, for the scholarship fund for talented but financially struggling students from the South Jeolla area.
