Who is DaBaby?

He is an American rapper who becomes a well-known singer in 2019 when his second studio album Kirk ranks at number one. His song Rockstar featuring American rapper and singer Roddy Ricch. The Song spend seven non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard hot 100.

Early life

He was born on 22nd December 1991 in Cleveland, Ohio a Midwestern reason of the United States. He has completed his school education at the Julius L. Chambers High School where he becomes graduate in 2010. After that, he attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro but he drops out two years later.

Career

He started taking music seriously as a career opportunity in 2014. He launched his level company called Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment. His debut studio album Baby on Baby released under the American record label company Interscope Records on 1st March 2019.The Song rank at number twenty-five on U.S Billboard 200. 

His second studio album Kirk was released on 27th September 2019. It’s rank on top of the US Billboard 200. Album’s lead single “Intro” ranks at number thirteen on the U.S Billboard hot 100. He also made a guest appearance in The American singer Post Malone’s single “Enemies” and on the remix of American rapper YG’s “Stop Snitchin” singer  Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” & American rapper Lil Nas X’s song “Panini”. 

He received two nominations at the 62nd Annual Grammy Award for his single “Suge” in Best Rap Performance & Best Rap Song category. Via Microblogging Social networking service provider Twitter he announced that his third studio album “Blame It on Baby” would be released on 17th April 2020. The song ranks on the top of the  Billboard 200 along with the sale of 124,000 albums. The Album also becomes his second number one album. 

The same year in June he featured on the remix of American rapper Jack Harlow’s song “What’s Poppin” which ranks at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. It also makes him occupy the chart’s top two positions, and the first since American singer and actress Ariana Grande did the same in 2019. In July he was featured on the “For The Night” song by American rapper Pop Smoke & Lil Baby which also ranks at number six on the Billboard Hot 100. 

In July 2020 he released his new single with the American rapper and songwriter Stunna 4 Vegas titled “No Dribble”.On 20th  November 2020, he released his debut EP My Brother’s Keeper which was a tribute to his  Late brother Glenn Johnson with the featuring appearances of American rapper Meek Mill &  Polo G.He also contributed a feature with the English singer Dua lipa’s song “Levitating” & the song ranks at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021. 

On 15th January 2021, he released his new single “Masterpiece” along with a music video for the track which was directed by Gemini Visions. He founded a record label company Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment in 2017 which is based in Charlotte, the most popular city in the United States of North Carolina.

Personal life

He has been in a relationship with his long term girlfriend MeMe & they have two children first one was born in 2017 and the second one in 2020.
