Early Life

She was born on 28th November 1997 in Chandigarh in the Indian state of Punjab. Her father Sanjay Bhatia was an employee in the Central Bank of India and also has played cricket at the all India University Level. Her mother Sapna Bhatia is a housewife. She has an elder sister named Sanjana Bhatia & a younger brother Sehaj. 

Career

She has completed her school education in DAV Senior secondary school. Currently, she is studying in the BA-II at MCM DAV College of women. Along with the study in the DAV College, she also took training in the former cricketer Yuvraj Singh father’s Yograj Singh training academy for playing cricket. After her training, she represented Punjab in U-19. at the age of  11 and become the youngest girl to do that. A few years later she also joined the senior state team at the age of 16. At the same time, she also joined India team A.

She made her first appearance in the one day International in 2018 in September month against Sri Lanka. She also became the first girl from Chandigarh to join the Indian Women team. She also made her Twenty20 debut at the same in the earlier month in February against South Africa. She became part of the ICC Women World Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies in 2018.

Her father wants to see her as a bowler but her height becomes a big issue for that. She was depressed for two years and her mother helped her to overcome that situation.

At the age of 11, she became the youngest girl to represent Punjab in U-19. She is the first women cricketer from Chandigarh to be selected in the National women’s cricket team.

At 13 years of age, she became the youngest girl to play for the senior Punjab team in the inter-state tournament in the year 2011.
