Introduction
Lainey Denay Wilson who was born on 19th May 1992 is an American country music singer-songwriter. Lainey Wilson started performing from a very early age in her career. In 2014, she released her first album, after a second on the Lone Chief label in 2016.
Along with that she also signed a publishing deal and later released an extended play in 2019. It included the song “Things a Man Oughta Know”. Next year it was issued as a single by the BBR Music Group and it reached number one on the American country songs chart.
Early Life
Lainey was raised in Baskin, Louisiana, to her father Brian who was a farmer & her mother Michelle who was a schoolteacher. She has a sister, named Janna. She became interested in music in her childhood. Her family regularly listened to classical Her father also taught her some of the chords and she soon started writing songs in her preteen years.
In 2006, she released an extended play on Myspace named “Country Girls Rule”. In high school, she took a job at Hannah Montana. She performed as Hannah Montana at birthday parties, and festivals across Louisiana, and Mississippi.
