On the 31st July 2017 episode of Raw, he was scheduled to defend his title in a fatal four-way match at SummerSlam against Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.
He made a return to the UFC in 2016 and defeated Mark Hunt in his return fight. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion was suspended from competition for one year by NSAC and as a result, his win against Mark Hunt was overturned into a no contest.
In 2018, UFC President Dana White officially noted that he had decided not to take up a fight against current UFC Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Cormier and is “done” with MMA.
